Kim Jong Un’s sister said that it is “high time” to break apart from South Korea. She added that the North Korean army is ready to take action against the “enemy.”

“Rubbish must be thrown into dustbin,” she said. She added, “By exercising my power authorised by the supreme leader, our party and the state, I gave an instruction to the arms of the department in charge of the affairs with enemy to decisively carry out the next action.”

NDTV reported that the latest trigger was caused by South Korean activists as they sent Pyongyang messages in balloons across the border. Earlier this month, North Korea cut off communication links. Hence the country refused to answer South Korea’s calls made on the military line.

North Korea on Saturday, in a separate statement also said that the country will continue to build their forces to overpower the United States. Their Foreign Ministry official Kwon Jong Gun said, “If they want to deal with us, they will have to approach us after racking their brains and finding a different method. We will continue to build up our force in order to overpower the persistent threats from the U.S., and such efforts of ours are in fact continuing at this point of time.”
