After North Korea’s dictator went missing again, since May 1, his sister Kim Yo-Jong has been issuing statements on his behalf. While the mystery about Kim’s health deepens, the US intelligence expers have revealed the hidden mysteries behind Room 39.
This room which is run by the dictator is only used for the sole purpose of raising cash. Smuggled gold, fake Viagra, meth and heroin are among the illegal things that this department uses. The US intelligence has estimated its worth near £400m and £1.6billion a year.
It is also said that the dictator’s lavish wealth and nuclear weapons are all funded by the activities that are undertaken in this room. “Room 39 is an organisation to get foreign currency for the leader,” reported ABC news. Further, it is also said that this fund in North Korea is known as the ‘revolutionary fund’.
Recently, all the responsibilities related to this room has been given to Kim Yo-jong and her husband.
Various reports from 2003 and 2005 report that authorities have seized North Korean shipments with hundreds of kilograms of Heroin, and that the country was producing fake Viagra pills in factories for sale in Hong Kong.
With more than 60 percent of the country’s population living below the poverty line, experts believe that the dictator solely relays upon these activities undertaken in Room 39.
This week, Kim Jong Un’s close friend Dennis Rodman has added fuel to the fire with regards to Kim’s health. He said, “If you see his sister running the country, something is wrong.”
