155 INDIAN COMPANIES HAVE GENERATED 1,25,000 JOBS – DETAILS

A report issued by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) on Monday, revealed that a total of 155 Indian companies have created nearly 1,25,000 jobs in the United States. The investments amount up to $22 billion.

"Indian-Americans have made so many important cultural, economic and scientific contributions to our country and Texas values your hard work and innovation. So keep up the good work!" said Senator John Cornyn, co-chair of the Senate India Caucus.

"Together, 155 Indian companies employ nearly 125,000 people across 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The total value of tangible investments made by these 155 companies exceeds $ 22 billion," the CII said.

States such as Texas, New York, New Jersey, and California are home to a lot of these Indian companies. However, Indian companies are present in all the 50 states as well as in Puerto Rico, DC, and Washington; the report said.

From among these states, the top 5 states where Indian companies have generated maximum employment are, Texas, California, New Jersey, New York, and Florida. These states along with Massachuestts are places where the Indian companies have contributed towards the highest foreign direct investment.
