According to TOI reports, the traffic signal at the Teynampet junction has been blinking since Diwali as a short-circuit triggered fire in the system. Notably, the junction linking Alwarpet with T Nagar is one of the busiest roads in Chennai and is without a signal for almost a month now. This has reportedly been affecting the traffic at Teynampet junction, especially during peak hours.
