The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has reportedly completed the construction of the last tunnel for Metro Phase-1 project, which is expected to be open to public soon. Reports say, a part of the underground section connecting four stations including AG-DMS, Teynampet, Nandanam and Saidapet is being geared up to be open by March 2018.
