DMK Working President M K Stalin in this tweet urged Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to take the necessary steps to help rescue the 1000 fishermen stranded in the sea. He further sought the deployment of required relief measures in areas devastated by Cyclone Ockhi. According to reports, over 1000 fishermen who ventured into the sea from Kanyakumari when Cyclone Ockhi struck, haven't returned yet.
