Tamil movie Mersal starring Vijay in lead role was being screened in theatres in Karnataka. Reportedly, a huge fight broke out in Bengaluru outside a theatre between the Tamil speaking and the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike. According to media reports, a protest began, and the Vedike’s members tore the Mersal movie poster. They also allegedly demanded that the screening should be stopped and the people watching the movie were made to leave. A complaint was lodged over the protest and demanded that the movie screening to be stopped immediately, a report says.
