According to media reports, the Madras High Court has summoned the Election Commissioner in the court on October 6 over the issue of the Late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s thumbprint in the election forms. The High Court has sought an explanation from the Election Commissioner on whether Jaya was in conscious when the thumbprint was taken.
