Madras HC restrains nurses from protest

The Madras HC on Wednesday reportedly restrained the temporary nurses from continuing their protests. The court also reportedly said that the government can dismiss the nurses if they don't return to work on Thursday. Further, the court said that the nurses can leave their jobs if they don't find the salary to be enough. Notably, the nurses, who are working on contractual basis, continued their protest for the third day on Wednesday demanding to make their jobs permanent and to raise their salary. Thousands of protesting nurses reportedly left the DMS complex following the HC's order.
