Weather blogger Pradeep John took to Facebook on Wednesday and said the low-pressure area that has been formed in the Bay of Bengal near Srilanka will intensify into a rare cyclone and heavy rains can be expected from Wednesday night, which will continue till December 1. The regional meteorological centre on the other hand also said there is a possibility for a cyclone.
