The Triple Talaq Bill in its present form was passed in Lok Sabha by voice vote on Thursday with the negation of amendments proposed by Congress and BJD. The bill which makes instant triple talaq illegal with up to three years in jail for the husband has now been sent to Rajya Sabha for clearance. Members from RJD, AIMIM, BJD, AIADMK and All India Muslim League voiced against the bill in Lok Sabha.
