Jaya fingerprint case: SC makes a big move

The Madras High Court had earlier asked for ex-CM Jayalalithaa’s fingerprint details from the Bengaluru jail where she had served a jail term in relation to a petition filed by P Saravanan , a DMK member. The Supreme Court today stayed the order made by the Madras High Court asking the concerned authorities to submit the fingerprint details following the plea of AK Bose who claimed that the Madras HC order was an intrusion of privacy. "Her death does not make any difference as right to privacy is available to every citizen during his/her life time and even after the death of that person," the plea said.
