Heavy rain in next two days in 14 districts of TN, CMD

The hashtag 'Chennai Rains' also trended on social media with people tweeting interesting pictures captured via their mobile phones. Videos of flooded streets and the news of a woman's death due to the collapse of walls in her house also surfaced as a part of heavy rains.

As per News7, the Chennai Metrological Department (CMD) has released a weather report for the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu. As per the report, 14 districts in Tamil Nadu including Villupuram, Cuddalore, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Trichy, Dindigul and Thanjavore are likely to receive heavy rainfall. The major reasons for the rainfall are predicted to be atmospheric upper layer pressure and convection.

As far as Chennai is concerned, the past week had been accompanied by drizzles in regular intervals throughout the days, especially during evenings. The prevailing climatic conditions could very well be sensed for decent monsoon rains, especially in the following months (October & November).
