Elephant calf struggles to reach missing mother; forest officials carry it on shoulders

Forest officials from Mettupalayam, who got suspicious of a female elephant’s activity reportedly found its calf near a mountain on Tuesday. The female elephant was desperately searching for its calf as the elephant lost its way. When the forest officials found the calf, they carried the calf on shoulders and reportedly tried to reunite it with its mother. However, since the officials were not able to go near the female elephant due to its aggressive behavior, the female elephant has not found its calf yet.
