Driverless trains for Chennai Metro Phase 2

According to TOI reports, Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) is planning to introduce driverless trains under the phase 2 metro. The train will reportedly operate in automatic mode and operations will be monitored by the operations control centre (OCC). Reports say, driverless trains will help reduce human error and in case of emergencies, OCC will take control.
