DMK politician RS Bharathi has reportedly filed a case in the Madras High Court against the transfer of Vigilance Commissioner VK Jeyakodi who was monitoring the probe in the multi-crore Gutkha scam. The senior IAS officer was appointed to the post five months ago following an order by the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court in July 2017. It is alleged that some ministers and senior police officers are involved in the scam.
