BIRYANI SHOP OWNERS ATTACKED WITH SICKLE AS THEY FOUND NO ‘PIECE’ IN BIRYANI

A couple, who were running a biryani shop in Suthamalli, Tirunelveli district, were attacked with sickle by a group of four men as they found no ‘piece’ of meat in the biryani they bought. The gang came to Vaniyambadi Amaan Biryani Shop and bought four takeaway biryanis.

However, they were enraged when they allegedly found no ‘piece’ in the biryani and returned to shop. They attacked the biryani shop owners - Zakir Hussain and his wife Banu - with a sickle. The incident caused outrage among the shop owners in the area.

Shops in the area were shut down in protest against the attack on the owner couple. The shop owners demanded the arrest of the perpetrators.
