A class 9 student, Akshaya studying in a private school near Poonamallee allegedly committed suicide after her pet dog died the previous day. Akshaya had been raising the pug for more than two years; the dog reportedly died after consuming a hair-removing cream which she left open on the table. The girl blamed herself for the dog’s death and committed suicide on Monday, reports say.
