Though Cricket is widely known as Gentleman's game, it also involves unexpected risks and twists that may even cost one's life. In fact, there were also cricketers who lost their lives in the field. Australian Cricketer Philip Hughes was hit by a bouncer on his neck on November 25, 2014, and later died due to injuries. Even some of the Indian cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Mahendra Singh  Dhoni and many others faced deadly delivers on the field.

Wes Agar escapes deadly shot by batsman in Aus one-day cup

In one of the recent domestic Cricket matches, South Australian bowler Wes Agar had escaped a deadly knock by batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk. It was just a few milliseconds that saved Wes from getting hit by the rocketing shot hit by the batsman. The incident happened in the match between South Australia and Victoria in Australia One-Day Cup today.

The video of the delivery and Agar's miss was posted by Cricket Australia via their Twitter handle and it is going viral. In the video, we could see the real-time delivery, the shot and Agar's quick miss.

Though it did not create big damage, Agar's expression clearly reveals the immense shock which would have otherwise resulted in deadly injuries. Earlier, a similar incident happened to Wes Agar's brother Ashton Agar and ironically the shot was hit by Wes Agar.
