Virat Kohli, as a captain has been facing a lot of criticism from ex-players and fans. Gautam Gambhir, in particular, has gone on record to say that Virat Kohli is not a good tactician and that he is lucky to still remain captain of RCB.

Virat Kohli\'s poor captaincy record and Gambhir\'s comment on Virat

His records in recent times as captain has not been very encouraging either. Since 24th of Feb 2019, Virat Kohli has led India in 2 T20 internationals, 5 ODI's and 4 IPL matches. In his time, he has managed to win only 2 games out of the 11, which were the first 2 ODI's against Australia in the home series.

Hence, he has lost the last 2 T20 Internationals, last 3 ODI's and Last 4 IPL matches that he has led. This is a worrying sign not just for the RCB fans, but also for the India fans with the world cup just around the corner.

In his defense, probably one can say that in the ODI's against Australia, they were experimenting for the world cup and probably he has not found the right balance with the RCB team, but momentum can be a crucial factor and as experts say, losing can also become a habit and hence Virat Kohli should look at refreshing and get back to the winning habit.
