BRUTAL ATTACK ON FAMILY MEMBERS OF CSK'S SURESH RAINA, PLAYER RUSHES BACK HOME! - DETAILS

In another shocking blow to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Suresh Raina has left IPL 2020 from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). "Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time," team CEO Kasi Viswanathan said in a tweet from the Super Kings handle.

Few media reports claim that Suresh Raina’s close relative was murdered in Punjab. According to Jagran.com’s report Raina’s uncle was attacked in the midnight in their Pathankot’s Thariyal village and he died due to that. 

“While his uncle, identified as 58-year-old Ashok Kumar, succumbed to death, sister of Raina’s father, Asha Devi is in critical condition. Former India cricketer's cousins – 32-year-old Kaushal Kumar and 24-year-old Apin Kumar have also attained injuries during the attack,” Outlook India reported.

Reportedly, the attack took place on the night of August 19 when the family was asleep at their terrace.

Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time.
