The no ball controversy in the last ball of the RCB vs MI game has become a huge talking point and both captains have openly criticized the umpires.

Kohli controversy on abusing match referee on noball issue

When it was 7 to win off the last ball,  had the no-ball been given, it would have been 5 to win off a free hit with the in-form AB Devillers on strike. From there on anything could have happened and hence it was a massive error on the part of the Umpire S Ravi.

Kohli after the match was clearly unhappy and said "We are playing at IPL level, not club cricket. That is just a ridiculous call off the last ball. The umpires should have their eyes open, it was a no-ball by an inch. It is a completely different game altogether. They should have been sharper and more careful out there.". Rohit Sharma also mirrored Kohli's thoughts on this issue.
According to the reports from sports.ndtv, Kohli is said to have stormed off after the match and into the Match Referee, Manu Nayyar's room and is said to have abused the official over maintaining poor standards. Kohli has also said that he doesn't care if he gets penalized for violating the code of conduct, according to the Times now report.

However, sportstar.thehindu has reported saying that the Match Referee, Manu Nayyar has completely denied these reports saying “The reports of Kohli barging in match referee’s room and all that published in a website is a figment of imagination. Nothing of that sort happened,” the official said.

It is said that Umpire S Ravi has also expressed his regrets on this issue.
