Keemo Paul about manakading incident during U-19 Worldcup

Keemo Paul during the world cup, mankaded Zimbabwe's Richard Ngarava in the last over of a tight match which took WestIndies to the knockouts. He faced a lot of criticisms after that incident from former players and the public.  He said that it was very tough for him facing all the criticisms and that he had locked himself up and cried a lot. He got support from the coach and support staff. He said that "The rules are there. We don't write them. We just follow the rules" since he was just 17 years old and believed what he did was right. He said that he feared the backlash more than criticism.

Talking about the Ashwin-Buttler incident, he said that he would feel better if a player like Ashwin, who a lot of people look up to backs him up on this issue. He also went on to say that he wouldn't do it again if an opportunity comes up.
