The incident where the bride took the hand of someone else due to the late arrival of the groom for the wedding ceremony has caused a stir.
She was to marry Sunil, a young man from Suru district in Rajasthan. The wedding was to take place in Rajkar next to the bride’s village of Selana. For this the groom's relatives came to the bride's village. The groom was scheduled to march home with musical instruments to welcome the bride.
But it is said that the groom and his friends got drunk and started dancing to DJ music. Thus the procession was delayed for several hours. The planned bridegroom did not arrive even though the time for the wedding was near. Frustrated, the bride decided to send the procession back.
Following this, the bride's family married him to another young man. The groom's family is shocked to learn this. The groom's family has lodged a complaint with the Rajgarh police station.
Thus the police called both the housemates to the police station and held talks. At the time, the bride's parents said they had made the decision because of their daughter's future, as the groom had been drinking late on the wedding day. Thus the groom made peace with the house and was sent away by the police.
