Indore city administration has reportedly announced that the names of those who are found spitting paan, gutkha or paan masala will be aired on radio. The city, which was adjudged the cleanest city in India according to the 2016 Swachhta Survey, also said that those who spit will have to pay a fine of Rs 500. The punishment will be effective post-December 25, the city mayor Malini Gaur reportedly said adding, “We urge everyone to shun paan and gutkha. These things are injurious to health.”
