SAD: 9-YR-OLD BEATEN OVER THIS SILLY REASON, TEACHER SUSPENDED

A nine-year-old girl was reportedly beaten by her teacher of a school in Hyderabad as she had worn ponytail instead of a plait. When the girl's mother lodged a complaint via the city commissioner, the teacher was placed under suspension. 

The teacher is said to have manhandled the student and thrown her out of the class. The mother of the student who bears injury marks was livid saying her ward could have sustained serious injuries. 

Meanwhile, activists have called for better and renewed sensitisation on part of teachers.
