A Rs 20 crore defamation suit has been reportedly filed against D Roopa, the former DIG of the prisons department in Karnataka who had said in a report that VK Sasikala bribed officials to obtain perks in jail including an exclusive kitchen and relaxed visiting hours. The suit was filed by her senior HN Sathyanarayana Rao as he was also named as one of the officials who had accepted the bribe.
