To convey India’s disappointment for the repeated offence by Pakistani soldiers in the border, sweets were reportedly not exchanged for Republic day between the Indian and Pakistani soldiers this year. It is a usual practice between the soldiers of the neighbouring countries to exchange sweets during occasions like Diwali Eid, Independence and Republic days of both the countries. However, this year, for Republic day, sweets were not exchanged.
