FLIGHT CATCHES FIRE ON LANDING; PASSENGERS SAFE

PTI reports that a fire broke out in an engine of Jazeera Airways Kuwait-Hyderabad flight after the plane landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad in the early hours of Thursday. All 150 passengers were evacuated safely and the flight is currently under inspection.

As soon as the source of the fire became known, the pilots shut down both the engines. The aircraft was towed from the taxiway to the parking bay. Meanwhile, Jazeera Airlines officials were not immediately available for comment on what caused the smoke to happen.
