The first female baby born on January 1, 2018, at a civic hospital in Bengaluru will reportedly be given free education till under-graduation by the government. Reports say, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) would deposit Rs 5 lakh in a joint bank account of its Commissioner and the first child would get the interest from it, which would be used for her education.
