Fuel prices raised for third consecutive day; Check revised rates.

Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the third consecutive day on Saturday. Petrol prices have been increased by 13 paise in all four metro cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. Diesel prices have been hiked in the range of 10-11 paise.


Petrol is now priced at Rs 78.85 per litre. In Delhi and Mumbai, petrol costs Rs 75.98 and Rs 83.37 per litre respectively. People will pay Rs 78.66 per litre of petrol in Kolkata.


Similarly, Diesel is now sold for Rs 71.52 per litre in Chennai on Saturday. In Delhi and Mumbai, diesel is priced at Rs 67.76 and Rs71.90 per litre. In Kolkata, diesel costs Rs 70.31 per litre.


The price hike began on Thursday after a gap of 36 days. Petrol prices were raised in the range of 14-15 paise on Friday, while diesel prices rose in the range of 16-18 paise.
