Chhattisgarh: 2-month-old baby dies after ambulance door malfunctions

A two-month-old baby died on Tuesday inside an ambulance after the vehicle's door did not open. The baby boy was being taken to a hospital in Raipur, Chhattisgarh for a cardiac surgery when the ambulance door malfunctioned.

The boy's parents had called Sanjeevani Express, a government ambulance service to take his son to the hospital. However, the door got stuck after reaching the hospital. The boy's father tried breaking the ambulance door to save his son but was warned against damaging government property.

Reportedly, the family struggled for hours to get the door open, but to no avail. The baby died inside the ambulance. In response, the ambulance service denied the allegations and stated that the baby had already died before reaching the hospital.
