Bengaluru: Bus conductor returns jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh

Jayadeva, a conductor, with the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, has come in for much praise after he returned a bag, which contained two necklaces, two earrings and other jewellery, worth Rs 2.5 lakh to a passenger who had forgotten them on the bus on Monday.

A group of four passengers boarded the bus and one of them left behind the bag. After the bus reached Bengaluru, the conductor noticed the bag and found contact details inside. He asked the owners to come to Satellite Bus Station on Mysuru Road and handed over the valuables to them in the presence of the depot manager and other officials.
