Attendance shortage: Students plea turned down

A division bench of the Karnataka High Court reportedly turned down the plea of six second-year pre-university course (PUC) students studying at a Bengaluru-based college to sit for final examinations due to attendance shortage. Reports say, on Monday, the bench headed by acting Chief Justice H G Ramesh said that a minimum attendance of 75% of the total number of periods in each subject during the academic year is required and there cannot be any relaxation to this rule.
