An 11-year-old girl died due to starvation in Jharkhand as the family's ration card was not linked to Aadhaar card. The girl's family was eligible for subsidised rations, but the local ration shop denied giving the family raw materials for the past six months. The girl had starved for eight days without food. According to media reports, she was not provided mid-day meal also in her school.
