Basic rules and regulations to watch a DND show at Sathyam Cinemas

SPI Cinemas has been promoting their new concept of the disturbance-free shows starting from 20th of September. It is called DND at SPI Cinemas, and they do it for their love of Cinema. DND shows will be played every Wednesday evening.

Here are few basic rules that every visitor needs to follow if they are going to watch a DND show; They are as follow:

1. Avoid using phone inside the theatre
2. Avoid conversation during the movie
3. Get your snacks before the film starts
4. You should be above 15 to watch a DND show
5. You cannot push or kick the seat in front of you

To know more about this concept, we got in touch with Ramya of SPI Cinemas, and this is what she had to say:

"DND shows will be played every Wednesday evening at one screen in Sathyam Cinemas. We are starting with Sathyam and planning to implement this concept to other SPI theatres later."

So how strict are you going to be if we don't follow the above-stated rules?

"1. If people use their mobile phones, you will be asked to leave the theatre
2. If you are seen disturbing others, strict actions will be taken and be asked to go out
3. We will have 20-minute intervals and you could see the countdown ticking on the display to know when the film will resume.
4. If you are late, the doors will be shut, and the money would be refunded
5. Kids are not allowed
6. Somone from SPI will always be monitoring the audience"

She adds that however, they have been getting many requests to have interval free shows and they are thinking about the options. If possible, they may have no-interval shows in the near future.

Though some may find this concept a little complicated, people who really want to watch a movie without any disturbance or distraction would prefer watching a DND show at SPI. Say, for example, a section of the audience, still prefer to watch a big hero film without any fan frenzy at theatres. Shows like these would encourage them to watch their favourite star's film peacefully in theatre.

If you are a horror film lover and if you hate the crowd in a theatre for making an intense scene into a joke, then DND shows would be beneficial.

Interestingly, two upcoming biggies are releasing on a Wednesday, and they would be Mahesh Babu's Spyder (September 27th) and Vijay's Mersal (October 18th). Would these rules be applicable for those films?

Apparently, SPI is going to start with Hollywood films and based on the response, they might bring DND shows for Tamil films.
