Madagajame Neeku Machikai
Singers: Chitra, Kailash Kher, SP Balasubramaniam
Lyrics: Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

The royal themed album begins with a feast of WCM along with indigenous horns, breezy flute and a syncopated rhythm. Kailash Kher starts off this impressive track with his usual power packed vocals leading to the fantastic voice of SPB speaking about the valor of the warrior princess Rudramadevi. Sirivennela’s inspirational lyrics are a huge asset for this composition. The track speaks of the rich history of the Kakatiya dynasty with great ease and amazing nativity.

Avuna Neevena Ne Vedhukutunna
Singers: Hariharan, Sadhana Sargam
Lyrics: Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

Surprisingly, it is a laid back duet which graces in effortless style. While the composition begins in pure Mohanam, it breathtakingly goes to Western classical as the charanam progresses by. Hariharan’s mellowed down voice complements Sadhana Sargam’s breezy vocals. This track gives a fantastic ambience with its liltingly appealing nature.

Choosukovo Theesukovo
Singers: Baba Seghal, Chitra
Lyrics: Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

The album gets a funky touch with a mesmerizing number with Arabic flavor topped with yesteryear Tollywood styled clarinets and horns. The rhythm section makes its presence felt but it is the lower octave rendition by Chitra which is the biggest stunner of the overall track. As Chitra is usually known for confident high pitched renditions, this is indeed a challenge for her and she pulls it off with flying colors!

Punnami Poovai Vikasisthunna
Singers: Shreya Ghoshal
Lyrics: Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

A typical relaxing female solo sung by the ever sweet Shreya Ghoshal arrives next. While the Pallavi is all sugary with respect to the tune presentation, the Charanam offers lot of surprises in terms of unexpected chord progression and amazing riffs. This track in short feels like a trip to a historic garden through a musical way!

Allakallolamai Desam
Singers: SP Balasubramaniam
Lyrics: Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

In contrast with the temporary sojourn with slow paced melodies, the album gathers emotion and pace with SPB’s aggressive rendition. It is indeed good to see the composition set in Khandam (5 beat cycle) which is usually the choice for anger and emotional renditions. The lyrics speak of motivation and great sadness in a brilliant poetic manner.

Anthapuramlo Andala Chilaka
Singers: Chinmayee, Chithra, Sadhana Sargam
Lyrics: Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

An interesting musical journey comes to an end with a master class track possessing grand Western classical music coupled with the quintessential Indian melody. The composition is layered vivaciously with horns, trumpets, breezy chord progression and amazing superimposition technique used in the lead vocals.  The composition flows like a perennial river in the midst of steady yet influential rhythm section.

Verdict: The album speaks of grandeur, royal music and the unsung pride of Kakatiya dynasty in style!
