Jill is an upcoming action entertainer starring Gopichand and Oohalu Gusagusalade fame Raashi Khanna in lead roles. This is composer Ghibran’s second Telugu album. Radhakrishna Kumar, who earlier worked for offbeat films like Anukokunda Oka Roju and Saahasam, is the director for this flick.

Man on Fire
Singers: Bianca Gomes, Yazin Nizar
Lyrics: Shreemani

The power packed album begins with a peculiar Hard Rock number comprising fiery electric guitars, a thumping rhythm and brilliant vocals. The track sets a novel mood for the listener apart from conventional Telugu film songs. The interludes are efficiently layered with great sequencing and mastery.

Jil Jil Jil
Singers: Shalmali Kholgade, Yazin Nizar
Lyrics: Ramajogaya Sastry

Quite to the contrary, it is time for an extremely breezy composition having a mild dose of trance, Indian classical melody and House Mix rhythms. Interestingly, this potpourri is interspersed with western classical string section and jazz flavors as well.  To make things even better, the vocalists sing in an amazing Jazz flavor making it an unusual treat!

Swing Swing Swing
Singers: blaaze, Sangita Santosham
Lyrics: Srijo

Ghibran explores the party beats with this extremely gripping number in the mesmerizing voice of rapper Blaaze. The track has a great international flavor in terms of presentation, and a breathtakingly groovy style as well. The timely riffs and digital sequencing are not overdone anywhere and are surprisingly pleasant to hear.

Yemaindhi Vela
Singers: Clinton Cerejo, Sharanya Gopinath
Lyrics: Krishna Kanth

A highly optimistic composition with festive country string section, feel good electric guitars and a trance rhythm section, arrives with superior vocal performances by Clinton and Sharanya. The timely piano touches and a lovely changeover in between, make the track even more experimental.

Pori Masala Pori
Singers: Nivin Bedford, Sharanya Gopinath
Lyrics: Ramajogaya Sastry

The album arrives to the finale with an inevitable item song touch but with the topping of World Music flavors. There is a mild Punjabi flavor with recurring piano base in the midst of steady yet thumping percussions. However, the track doesn’t have the much needed desi touch for a typical mass Telugu number.

Verdict: Jill is an impressive album from Ghibran in terms of packaging and fantastic innovation. His trademark style of presentation and effort in bringing various international genres under one platform is quite commendable.
