Jan 11th – TNTOA, Distributors and Producers council get together and gift a sleepless Kamal Haasan a gold ring in lieu of his decision on DTH. ‘They have supported me since my young age’, Kamal says.

Jan12th – Rumors begin to surface that DTH service providers have started issuing refunds to subscribers.

Jan 14th – Kamal issues an official press release mentioning the revised schedule of the DTH telecast. New date announced as Feb 2nd, offering screening in 3 slots with revised prices. Announces that January 25 will be the theatrical release across 450 screens in TN.
