Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi stood out for conveying social messages through comedy and for Vadivelu’s performance as a Machiavellian King, and also for his moustache.
The moustache was so popular in Tamil Nadu that the makers, as a part of film’s promotions, offered rubber mould moustaches, similar to the one Pulikesi sports, to children who came to the theatres to watch the film.
