This was a startling deviation from what we had been seeing in Sindhu Bhairavi till that point of time. Sivakumar gave a wholehearted performance in complete contrast to the earlier frames in the movie. And the fact that Ilayaraja got Yesudas, whose voice is usually associated with serious songs, to sing this makes this song stand out from the lot.
