Aan Pavam
Cast – Pandian, Seetha, Pandiarajan, Revathy, V.K.Ramasamy, Kollangudi Karuppayi, Poornam Vishwanathan.

Director – R. Pandiarajan.

The plot looks too serious and the only one who could think of such a story for comedy will be none other than our own - Pandiarajan. Though the movie does get serious at times, it has a comical under tone all through. And the ending would definitely bring the house down. Pandiarajan is unmatchable in his comic timings. Revathy, Pandian and V.K.Ramasamy act with élan. Kollangudi Karuppayi is a riot who brings down the house with funny one-liners.

Takeaway:

The most famous scene where Pandiarajan pleads his father to get him married. VKR questions him if anyone will be ready to marry him. Pandiarajan replies that he will marry his Patti; the surprised V.K.Ramasamy shouts “adhu yen amma da” (that’s my mother) for which Pandiarajan coolly replies “nee mattum yen ammava kalyanam pannikalaam, naan un ammava kalyanam pannika kudaadhaa?” (If you can marry my mother can I not marry your mother?)
