Prabhu Deva’s perfect summer treat, Devi 2, which is a sequel to 2016 hit, Devi, featured Tamannaah as the female lead and hit the silver screens yesterday on May 31. The film also starred Dimple Hayathi, Kovai Sarala, R J Balaji, Ajmal Amir, Nandita Swetha and others in crucial roles.
Directed by Vijay and produced by Dr. Ishari K Ganesh and Ravindran under the banner Vels International and Trident Arts respectively, the film has been carrying quite a lot of expectations and looks as a perfect summer treat for families to watch.
The makers have released a peppy and foot-tapping “Sokkura Penne” video song from the movie. The song has Prabhu Deva, Nandita Swetha and Dimple Hayathi at their best. Crooned by Shankar Mahadevan, the lyrics are penned by Prabhu Deva himself. The music is composed by Sam CS.
