Devi 2 is an upcoming horror comedy written and directed by Vijay. It has Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah in the lead roles. Nandita Swetha, Dimple Hayati, Kovai Sarala, RJ Balaji, and others play supporting roles in this bilingual.
The film is set to release on May 31, alongside Suriya and Selvaraghavan's NGK. Ahead of the film's release, there were expectations that RJ Balaji is playing a full-fledged role in the film like the first part. However, he took to Twitter to clarify that his role is only 2-3 scenes long. In addition he also said each scene is only 5-6 minutes long.
We can hope to get the maximum of RJ Balaji's comedy from those 3 scenes. Devi 2 has music by Sam CS, cinematography by Ayananka Bose, and editing by Anthony. The film is a sequel to Devi, that released in 2016.
Devi 2 is produced by Ravindran and K Ganesh under the banners Trident Arts and GV Films respectively. It is also releasing simultaneously in Telugu, titled Abhinetri 2. This film will be Vijay's 2nd release this year after Watchman that had GV Prakash in the lead.
