Mani Ratnam, one of the most respected directors in Indian cinema, has always had a penchant for multistarrers. This is an observation that has only consolidated with his latest film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
Some of his biggest hits have been multistarrers, including Thalapathy, Agni Natchathiram, Iruvar, Yuva and so on. He even tried to bring together the two juggernauts - Vijay and Mahesh Babu for a historical film.
A film in Tamil with multiple big stars is very difficult, and for that reason rare. But Mani Ratnam has been doing it on the trot throughout his career. We wish the ace director all the best for Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, and may he continue to make many more multistarrers in the future!

We all know that director Gautham Menon is a big fan of Mani Ratnam. He has disclosed this at many junctures. On February 9, the title and first look poster of Mani Ratnam's next were revealed. Chekka Chivantha Vaanam's first look poster was loved by a lot of people, and even Gautham Menon didn't step back from expressing his excitement!
He took to his social media pages to share the poster and he also said, "Chief is back in action so very soon and this time he’s armed with an offbeat and parallel best in the business.. and WOW, the four pairs of eyes say it all.. How does one get to be a part of this 😊before seeing it on screen.."
Wouldn't it be an exciting experience to see the two master directors join hands?
