Thalapathy 63 is one of the much awaited movies of 2019. It has Vijay playing the lead role alongside Nayanthara, while Reba Monica John, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Anand Raj, Indhuja, Amritha Iyer and others appear in prominent roles.
It is directed by Atlee and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner AGS Entertainment. This is Atlee's 3rd consecutive film with Vijay after Theri and Mersal. It also marks Vijay's hattrick collaboration with Rahman after Mersal and Sarkar. The film has cinematography by GK Vishnu, and is all set for a release this Diwali.
After this sports drama, Vijay will be acting in a film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame, tentatively titled Thalapathy 64. While the former is working on Thalapathy 63, Lokesh is currently busy in his post production of Karthi's Kaidhi produced by SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures.
Sources close to us have revealed that, Vijay's next Thalapathy 64 will be bankrolled by producer Brito. Producer Brito is said to have two production companies namely - BV Combines, and Esthell Entertainment. The banner under which this film is going to get produced is yet to be known. An official announcement about the same is expected soon.
