It all started when the actor turned politician (Makkal Needhi Maiam president) Kamal Haasan had stormed up a controversy for his statement on Sunday. The actor hit to the headlines when he had said during a rally, “Independent India’s first terrorist was a Hindu. His name was Nathuram Godse.”
This was enough which sparked up many bhakhts that also led to another controversy when the BJP's Bhopal Lok Sabha candidate and Malegaon blast accused, Pragya Thakur lauded Godse as a patriot. However, hours later, she had later apologised saying that she respected Gandhi and his work for the country which cannot be forgotten.
On Friday, during an interview, our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had commented that though Sadhvi Pragya had apologised for her statement but he would never be able to forgive her for insulting Bapu.
Popular singer, Srinivas has reacted to it and actually thanked Ulaga Nayagan for this. He wrote, “The most welcome statement from the PM in a long time.. Only if he had done this for so many incidents in the past, we would have been with him.. In a way, we should be thankful to Kamal Haasan for this.”
