ON PULI'S 'MAYALOGA MANMATHANEY', 'AANMAI ULLA RANI' AND MORE

Releasing the songs well in advance of the actual film’s release could be a tricky thing, as the songs, at times, would reveal too much about the story of the film. But in today’s scenario, the makers have to release the music album in advance for various commercial and marketing purposes.

Now coming to one of the most awaited films of the season, Vijay’s upcoming commercial fantasy entertainer Puli, one of the major highlights of its music album is Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu’s powerful lyrics.

The lyrics don’t avow too much about the film but there are some interesting facts that you can notice. Like in the Mannavane song, you can clutch words like Rani Kottai Ilavarasi (Rani Kottai’s princess), Mayaloga Manmathaney (a handsome man from a mystic world) and Aanmai Ulla Rani (Brave Queen).

If you could connect these lines to the context of the film, it seems like a dual-sided song, where the first half talks about the segments between Hansika (Ilavarasi) and Vijay (Mayaloga Manmathaney) and the other half about Sridevi (Aanmai Ulla Rani). And apparently the zone where the story takes place must be in a village called 'Rani Kottai'.

Or the song could just be a dream number too. So let us put these imaginations to rest and wait for the film to get released. Nevertheless, these facts do kindle our excitement.
