Yazh is an upcoming movie directed by MS Anand, an Australian based Tamil. Completely shot in Sri Lanka, the movie stars Vinod, Sashi, Misha, Rakshana and Leema Babu in the lead roles. With the last ethnic war of Sri Lanka as the backdrop, the film deals about a culture named Yazh and the post war consequences, the people belonging to this culture had to go through.

Named after the famous instrument, Yazh is a culture, supposedly developed and practiced by the Tamil people of North East Sri Lanka. Project Yazh is a contemporary movie focusing on this ancient culture that Tamil people have apparently forgotten.

Karuppaiya and Nazeer have helmed the camera for the film and SN Arunagiri has rendered six songs. Mystic Films has produced the venture.
