Sweet news for Priya Anand

Actress Priya Anand is turning out to be a highly bankable heroine in the cinema business, with two hits in 2013, Ethir Neechal and Vanakkam Chennai. The actress is currently working on Arima Nambi opposite Vikram Prabhu, Irumbu Kuthirai with Atharva Murali and Vai Raja Vai alongside Gautham Karthik.
 

She will also be pairing up with Vemal for the first time in her career for director Kannan’s next venture. As reported earlier, Kannan was, until now, working on the title.  He earlier informed us that he had zeroed in on Sakkarai and Kaadhal Konjam Kammi and that the latter would most probably be his pick, for there is a film named Sakkarakatti already. However, looking at the final designs, the director has apparently decided on Sakkarai.
 

Produced by Michael Rayappan, the first half of Sakkarai will be shot in a train and the second half in Tuticorin.
